Located in a suburban neighborhood near Lake Allatoona,  this renovation required a complete "Rethink" of the typical builder home. The house backs up to a heavily wooded reserve but the interior living spaces and subsequant additions scarcely took notice.

The solution was to rearrange the entire first floor.  We eliminated the formal dining room on the front of the house and moved the garage entry, laundry and mudroom into that area.  The vital living spaces were moved to the back of the house and arranged around a central dining, work, play, and gathering table. The kitchen, den, and living rooms all radiate off of this central space and open to a reenvisoned screen porch and the forest beyond.
